Discover Buddhism in Indonesia
Indonesia has a long association with Buddhism, and there are over 1.7 million Buddhists practicing in Indonesia today. The majority of the Buddhist population in Indonesia are ethnically Chinese, however there are also Javanese and Sasak Buddhists.
Our pilgrimage focuses on Borobudur, a 9th-century Mahayana Buddhist temple complex near Yogyakarta in central Java. Borobudur is the world’s largest Buddhist temple and is one of the most important Buddhist monuments in the world. Our all-inclusive package includes relaxing resort style accommodation where there is space for daily teachings, meditation and discussions. There will also be the opportunity to visit other significant stupas in the area.
Our upcoming pilgrimages to Indonesia are currently being developed, with itineraries and dates to be announced in the near future.
