Discover Buddhism in Nepal
As the birthplace of the Buddha, Nepal is an important Buddhist pilgrimage destination. Nepal is also known for the unique religious harmony and synthesis that exists between its two main religions, Buddhism and Hinduism.
Our pilgrimages visit the capital city of Kathmandu, home to the Boudhanath and Swayambhu stupas. Kathmandu is also home to a thriving Tibetan community as well as several monasteries perched on the hills surrounding the city.
Lumbini is the birthplace of the Buddha and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is home to several significant temples, including the Mayadevi Temple as well as many newer temples, funded and designed by Buddhist organisations from around the world. Our pilgrimages also visit the Puskarini (Holy Pond), museum and monasteries in Lumbini.
